Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT supports remote MCP servers via custom connectors (currently rolling out to ChatGPT Pro / Team / Enterprise).
Steps
- Open Settings → Connectors → Custom connectors in ChatGPT.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Configure the connector:
- Name: Picnic
- Server URL:
https://agents.usepicnic.com/mcp - Authentication: OAuth (auto-detected from the server's metadata)
- Click Connect. ChatGPT will open Picnic's consent page in a new tab — sign in with your passkey and approve the scopes you want to grant.
- Back in ChatGPT, the connector should show as Connected.
Try it out
Start a new chat with the Picnic connector enabled and try:
"Show me my last 10 transactions on Picnic."
ChatGPT will call get_transactions and walk you through the results.
Notes
- ChatGPT's custom connector UI changes occasionally. If the wording is different, look for "MCP server", "Add connector", or "Custom integration" — it's all the same flow.
- Custom connectors require admin approval in some plans. If the option is missing for you, ask whoever manages your ChatGPT workspace.
