Getting started

You'll need three things to use Picnic MCP:

  1. A Picnic account with at least one passkey set up. (Sign up at usepicnic.com (opens in a new tab).)
  2. An AI client that supports remote MCP servers — Claude Desktop, claude.ai, ChatGPT (via custom connectors), Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client.
  3. The Picnic MCP server URL:
https://agents.usepicnic.com/mcp

That's the endpoint you'll point your AI client at.

What happens when you connect

The first time your AI client tries to use Picnic MCP, you'll be redirected to a Picnic consent page in your browser:

  1. Sign in with your passkey — same one you use in the Picnic app.
  2. Pick which scopes to grant. Each scope is one capability (e.g. read your balances, read your transactions).
  3. Approve. Your AI client receives a token and is connected.

Tokens are bound to that specific passkey. If you want to disconnect, revoke access from the Picnic app.
